THE PATRIOTS CUP 2008: TWO-BOAT TEAM RACING IN IRELAND. — 26 September '08

Silver/Bronze level event taking place in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland over the weekend of 26th - 28th September. Organised by the Royal Alfred Y.C., the event is two-boat team racing in J80s ( five crew per boat ).

The event takes place in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland over the weekend of 26^th - 28^th September. Organised by the Royal Alfred Y.C., the event is two-boat team racing in J80s ( five crew per boat ).

At the last count, four top-level teams from the USA had entered along with teams from the UK - this is set to increase so the level of competition is very good.  Dun Laoghaire is generally considered to be one the best venues for sailing, both on and off the water - all in all, a great event.

The event used to be run in Sigma 33s and, in order to keep that association with the class, there is a requirement that some of the crew, and at least one helm, should have current Sigma experience.  If you are interested in taking part, please let us know of any Sigma 33 experience.
