RTYC team to race for the Methuselah Trophy

The Royal Thames Yacht Club will be represented by the largest ever team assembled to challenge for the Methuselah Trophy in Saturdays JP Morgan Asset Managment Round the Island Race. The Tropy is open to any club that can field a team of three yachts from the 200+  yachts that have an IRC rating of over 1.044.
The RTYC team will be made up of the two 100' SuperMaxis Mike Slade's Leopard3 and Zana, which will have RTYC Captain of Racing Thomas Brennan and John Greenland on board. They will be joined by the Farr 52 Chernikeeff 2 owned by RTYC member Peter Harrison and run by the UKSA.  Giving a total waterline length of 252'..... something no other Club can do.

It will be a big challenge for the RTYC team to win as the final result will not be on line position but on the corrected times from the race.
