Cumberland Regatta

Date: See Calendar here

Venue: Cowes

Format: Two days of navigational exercises in the Solent

Our annual Cumberland Regatta is now recognised as the high-point of the Club's social and sailing year.

Cruisers race on the Saturday for the Queen Victoria Cup in the morning and the Royal Thames Offshore Challenge Cup in the afternoon, with a stop for lunch in between. The Younger Members also race at the same time in the Club’s fleet of J/70s.

Berths are available on Saturday evening in the Haven at The Royal Yacht Squadron, by kind permission of the Flag Officers.  Sunday sees our Pursuit Race for the 1776 Cumberland Cup, the oldest yacht racing trophy in the world.
