RTYC is represented throughout the global realm of yacht racing, with members taking part in regattas all over the world, ranging from the Solent series' of boats sailing round the cans at club level to the Maxi Worlds in Sardinia.
Whether you're a long distance offshore sailor, or you prefer the adrenaline of one design fleet racing, there are plenty of opportunities at every level for club members to become involved with yacht racing. For further information surrounding yacht racing opportunities, please contact the Sailing Office: firstname.lastname@example.org
A number of members participate in the notorious events on the South coast such as the annual Round the Island Race with boats such as ICAP Leopard leading the procession of yachts round the Isle of Wight. Others feature on the international super yacht circuit competing in the warmer waters of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, and some participate in one design fleet racing, such as the Farr45 regattas held by the RTYC.
Some prefer to head offshore and compete in regattas such as the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), or the Middle Sea Race, where boat and crew are tested over longer periods of time and verying conditions.
